Singer-Songwriter, Abhilasha Sinha paid tribute to Mother’s Day with an emotional visual for her single, “Mother” featuring mothers from around the world.
Sinha gave fans a chance to submit pictures of their mothers that were featured in a video in honor of Mother’s Day. The visual gave a nod to their lives before motherhood while the song’s lyrics highlight the importance of their contributions to their children. The whimsical melody brings to life the lyrical delicacy Sinha uses to describe a mother’s presence.
In an interview with C+C last year, she detailed her inspirations and processes for making empowering music.
“Music is impossible to truly feel without the internal chaos,” she said. “if your heart is a storm, the music will emerge.”
“Mother” is the singer’s debut single and precedes “Hold Your Pride” and the Hindi-single, “Tum Ho Yahaan”. Sinha is continuing to work on new music, which she expects to release later this year.
