Breonna Taylor, an EMT worker living in Louisville, Kentucky, was shot and killed in her own home by police officers after they entered her home with a “no knock” search warrant.
Taylor was in her own home with her boyfriend when the police entered. Thinking they were being burglarized, Taylor’s boyfriend shot at the cops, who fired twenty shots blindly at the couple and killed Taylor with eight shots. Taylor’s boyfriend was charged with assault and the attempted murder of a police officer.
The cops were looking for a “trap house” more than 10 miles from Taylor’s home.
Although the incident happened on March 13, it has re-gained national attention because Ben Crump, the attorney in Ahmaud Arbery’s case, agreed to also take on Taylor’s case.
