Netflix just released the trailer for the fifth season of its popular reality series, Queer Eye, which shows that every member of the Fab Five — Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Karamo Brown, Tan France, and Bobby Berk — will be returning to the show.
Season five will have the show’s hosts spread their expertise in the city of Philadelphia to a new group of local “heroes”. The season’s cast includes a gay church leader working to reconcile his sexuality with religion and a single mother struggling to raise her daughter, among others.
In past seasons, the crew has traveled to communities in Georgia, Kansas, and Japan in an effort to help “heroes” improve their lives. Season 6 of the show began filming earlier this year in Austin, Texas but was paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The trailer also features a new original song from singer-songwriter VINCINT called “Be Me”. The singer recently told with The Advocate about the origin of the song and how it came to be a part of the series:
“The inspiration for the song came from me sitting with the boys,” he said. “And talking through what it took for us to be where we are today.”
Season five will contain 10 episodes making it the longest season of the franchise, and will be released on June 5th.
