John Cusack is an American actor and producer known for his roles in Better Off Dead (1985), High Fidelity (2000) and other films.
On Saturday night, Cusack posted a video on Twitter that showed him running from cops at a protest for George Floyd in Chicago. In the video, you can hear police telling him to get out while they beat his bike with batons.
Cops didn’t like me filming the burning car so they came at me with batons. Hitting my bike.

The actor had defied the city’s 9pm curfew and shortly before he shot the vide, he Tweeted that he had been “hit by pepper spray”. He had been documenting the protests in Chicago since they began.
I haven’t seen tear gas – but was hit by pepper spray – don’t know how a curfew can be started at nine with bridges blocked CTA not running –
