B. Simone first rose to fame for being on MTV’s Wild ‘n Out and has been a regular cast member on VH1’s Hip Hop Squares. Since then, she’s made YouTube videos and has 5 million followers on Instagram.
She was noticeably quiet during the George Floyd protests and on Sunday night, she clarified why on Twitter.
Her response generated outrage and the connection between her Christianity and refusal to stand up for Black lives confused some fans.
Several of her followers have responded in anger, making fun of the moral inconsistency of the reality TV actress. Photos have recently leaked of her partying with a large group of people in Atlanta in defiance of social distancing rules.
