Denzel Skinner, a former Taco Bell employee in Youngstown, Ohio, was allegedly fired for refusing to take off a face mask with “Black Lives Matter” printed on it. In a video posted on social media, Skinner filmed himself arguing with someone who is off-camera telling him that he “can’t bring politics into the building.”
“I’m not bringing politics in,” Skinner said. “This is what I’m standing for.”

In the viral video, the person off-camera tells Skinner that it’s “company policy” not to allow people to wear Black Lives Matter gear. Earlier this month, Taco Bell voiced its support for the Black Lives Matter movement and many are calling out the hypocrisy of the restaurant chain with the hashtag #RipTacoBell.
So @tacobell y’all tweeted this on June 2nd & today an employee was fired for wearing a #BlackLivesMatter mask becuz it goes against company policy? Explain. #RIPTacoBell pic.twitter.com/ynYOk4F4gb

Others are celebrating the demise of the fast-food chain by posting videos of DIY-Taco Bell recipes and by noting that there are much better, family-owned options out there.

Now that taco bell is canceled, the number of people sh*tting themselves will greatly decline. Not to forget toilet paper use…
Adieu tacobell. You shall not be missed.
