USCIS Deputy Director Criticized The Supreme Court’s DACA Decision

In a statement published on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website, Deputy Director Joseph Edlow sharply criticized the Supreme Court’s decision to retain DACA.

“The fact remains that under DACA, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens continue to remain in our country in violation of the laws passed by Congress,” he wrote. “And to take jobs Americans need now more than ever.”

Edlow was appointed as Deputy Director in February, just three months after Chad Wolf was inaugurated into the same position before he was quickly booted.

Edlow is known for his tough stance on all forms of immigration, including legal immigration.

“Together,” he wrote in a letter to his workforce after he was appointed to the Deputy Director role. “We continue to work with our federal partners to address the crisis at the border and restore the rule of law.”
