Best known for her roles in Deadpool and The Mandalorian, actress Gina Carano was criticized on Twitter after she posted a black and white photo of a group of people doing a Nazi salute that centered on one person with his arms crossed. She posted the picture after she read an article that explained the man in the picture, August Landmesser, was a former Nazi who fell in love with a Jewish woman and refused to do the Sieg Heil.

Carano was called out by several people on Twitter who claimed she was a “cop apologist” and was anti-Black Lives Matter. Carano replied to a comment that urged her to get on the “right side of history.”

“In my experience, screaming at someone that they are a racist when they are indeed NOT a racist & any post and/or research you do will show you those exact facts. Then I’m sorry, these people are not “educators”… they are cowards and bullies,” she wrote.

Others came to Gina’s support and one user posted screenshots of all the hateful comments Gina received. By early Wednesday morning, the hashtag #GinaCaranoisoverparty was trending.
